You're not gonna believe what Dave saw that one night. He never would have believed it, there was this whole, red woosh sound. It means something, driven by a melody he can't forget. He builds a midi controlled light board to visualize it. P.S: No kids were crying while Dave ate the mashed potatoes.

Awesome that you brought back the light board. In early SiFi, it was synonymous with all things computer. The beatboxing was also top tier.

sadly the beat box was just cut together I had no idea how I made those noises and thought they have to be put in the video! It was great and pleasing to work on this project, thanks for commenting!

    Thanks for your reply.

I plan to use  this one: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005003599596838.html (cheaper clone).

I'll let you know when I receive and test it.

The good new is that it comes from China, so I have about 3 weeks left to buid your project Joy

    Have a nice day!

I'd expect it goes into one of the Arduino analogue inputs via a preamp.

You could perhaps use a mic module like this:

    Hi!

Thanks for that awsome project! Thumbsup

I just wondered how the microphone was connected to the board: do you use the midi 5 pin port? Or is it connected by another way onto the beadboard?

    Thanks for any help.

    Nice build.

It reminds me of the time I made a little program to produce music from a Mandelbrot calculation.
