I've wanted to pick up the intel realsense since Microsoft deprecated the Kinect. I'm glad to see it's easy to integrate it with the Raspberry Pi platform.

yup-yup, Chris, it's definitely a fun piece of hardware! i ended up using it for an upcoming episode and i see a few additional potential uses. i highly recommend it!

An interesting way to count punches. You could also use the sound of the glove impact or use an accelerometer on the target to indicate when it is hit and how hard. DAB
