I work with people in many different time zones, and have always wanted an ‘at a glance’ world clock so I can see what time it is in their time zone. But I want mine to be configurable and synchronized with NTP, so I am going to build it!

This is a supercool project! Really loved it

Can imagine about the amount of work that went into designing the GUI image. Using Nextion display would have made the job little easier as there is a software to design GUI and toggling can be controlled with the serial interface.

    Thank you Jennifer!

That is a good idea for the TFT, One of the reasons I did not add any TFT functionality, was that I could not think of a great use for it since the encoder did everything I needed. It could also take you to the TZ selection screen in context to change it. Also, that would require a lot more code, hah

That is awesome! If you run into anything or have questions please feel free to ask away here on this thread, I will keep an eye on it. Key tip: Make sure you get the same IC and 7seg displays. I will also see about getting a schematic together to post. Good luck!

Very nice, Kaleb!  I like the "why buy one when you can build it" philosophy!!  Did you consider adding AM/PM indicators for the two external displays?  It looks like there might be room on the associated information areas on the TFT.  Also, I wondered about adding some functionality using the touch-screen capabilities already present in the TFT.  Maybe a single tap on one of the timezones moves it to the top external display, and a double tap moves it to the bottom display.  It would require significantly more programming, I guess.  The possibilities, though, are plentiful!

Thanks for sharing!  You've inspired me to build this project!!

    Jennifer
