In 2008 British comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb created a robot that tries to smell the difference between cheese and petrol with limited success. Can Andy do any better with his desktop version of Cheesoid?

With the 100:1 gearbox the torque of 0.5Kgf-cm mentioned in the spec should be sufficient. But I still have some work to do before I can share a video.

    Andy,

Contains a mobile robot so it must be good. Sadly, you do not show the system moving about. Do these stepper motors with gearboxes work as I have tried using something similar before and it just didn't have enough 'grunt' to move the mobile robot about nicely. Is there a video of the robot moving about?

My mate Martin just reminded me that there is actually a sensor that can detect cheese.
