Some very innovative engineering has gone into getting mobile phones from where we were 30 years ago, to now.

It's staggering how quickly the cost of a device can go from £500 to £1!

Great episode.

I started taking old cell phones apart when I could pick them up at garage sales for about 1 USD.
There were a lot of interesting implementations to get all of the components on board.

I should say that it mostly goes well - not always (Dyson 360 eye, Apple Message Pad 110). Although I am blaming the latter on the plasitc becoming very brittle!
