Rolec Wallpod Type 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Point Teardown -- The Electronics Inside 65

There is no point denying it, the world is in a transition to electric vehicles. And until someone donates a full car to me to tear down, I thought we'd settle for a domestic charging point! Is it a glorified outlet, or is there something more inside?

Thanks DAB, I'll be honest, I half think that pure EV may not last, and wonder if a hydrogen economy may better suit the modern expectations of time and distance?

Another great teardown.

I too am surprised by the lack of standards for EV chargers.

If you are going to push EV to replace existing vehicles, you need to build up a charging infrastructure first or you just have chaos.

Needless to say, there is no EV in my immediate future.

I suspect that the dream of a completely EV world is much further away than the Greenies want.
