Most people are fairly familiar with multimeters, or DMMs. But what did its grandparents look like? I have got hold of a 1977 multimeter, so lets see what's inside!

    The ceramic board with the "antenna" like traces will almost certainly be the current sense resistors. (Or current shunts as people sometimes call them.) MK

    Thanks Kaleb, I definately have an interest in anything older. It seems like today you could do anything with an MCU.

    Agreed, looking back at all of the older gear I used to use, they look like tanks compared to the newer use and toss devices.
