How Do DACs Work?
In this lesson of The Learning Circuit, Karen discusses digital to analog converters, or DACs. The world around us is analog, but the technology we use is often digital. So we need a way to make our technology communicate with the real world. Sensing the world around us generates analog signals. These can be converted to digital signals that our technology can understand by using ADCs. To get signals back out of our technology, sometimes we need to convert those digital signals back to analog. For this we use DACs. In this video, Karen explains how they work and why we need them.
