PYNQ pink basics pinking around

There is a lot of electronics or IoT connection points for Python developers or just makers playing with their Micro:Bit, Raspberry Pi or other board powered by Zerynth, TinkerForge, MicroPython, CircuitPython and alike. Among all of those there is no FPGA or anything close. There are edge NPU like Google Coral, Intel Movidius or Rockchip 3399 Pro and it standalone NPU, or Nvidia with their Jetson and alike boards. Those can do machine learning and alike, yet they don't cover the gap completely - or just out of sheer maker curiosity it would be cool to play with an FPGA without Verilog and with Python.

As I like writing guides and reviews I did the same with PYNQ -  https://rk.edu.pl/en/overview-pynq-project-offering-fpga-capabilities-python-and-data-engineers/  - although it's just the "introduction" I hope to write a subsequent tutorial focusing on usage cases and cool things from subsequent webinars. And then with the power of social media share it to a wider audience and make more PCBs pink out there.

The project looks quite well documented, the price for the Z2 board is ok-ish, not something for a "make an leave it" project but still could be interesting dealing with also more advanced NPU or Nvidia projects. What's missing is something like a more approachable appearance for makers, Python developers playing with electronics or ML for their hobby projects (or startups). People knowing what Vivado is feel comfortable with PYNQ but outsiders often wonder what it is, what it can do and what's the point when mentioned alternative exist. And also FPGA isn't something we seen before in the Python or in general hobbyist makers and hackers (even though PYNQ isn't a new thing). Hope it will change, at least a bit image
