The container for pens

I have recently replaced broken keyboard in one of my notebooks and I was thought about reuse keys from this keyboard. My idea was to create a funny container for pens. I have used jar and glued to each side of it a keys from keyboard. Final effect is shown in video. While moment later I had an idea that this could be also a lampshade because this original keys come from keyboard which has backlight.

That was a great reuse of the keys. The hex shaped jar was a perfect fit and made the keys look like they belonged there. Were you able to spell any appropriate words? John

Very cool! I really like the light effect, where to light passes through the letters/symbols. You could do a similar thing, using RGB LEDs behind the keys and create motion effects. Very creative.

Original keyboard has Norwegian layout but I replaced it to native Polish layout (standard QWERTY). So, there were additional level of difficulty to get appropriate word due the letters like: Æ Ø Å
