Team Contests?

I think it could be a good instance for people to know each other better while spending time developing a project. I would expect a team to be able to accomplish more than single individuals too.

Would anyone find a team competition interesting?

What are your thoughts?

I think we could allow members to participate as individuals too, but to be honest, I don't think that anyone with enough motivation would have trouble finding other members to form a team. Some members…

I question why we can't change the current competitions on the Community (Project14, Design Challenges, RoadTests, etc.) to allow for teams to enter and support that, rather than create an arbitrary 'Team' competition.

On the Community we've tried team competitions before (BeagleBone Black Hackspace Challenge - VOTE for your winner! / The Great Global Hackerspace Challenge ) and I may be being cynical/skeptical about it, I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket for a solely dedicated team competition.

Support teams entering current competitions? Sure, dedicated event for teams? Not convinced.

Supporting teams in current competitions sounds good. It would be pretty straightforward to implement that in P14 competitions as all items come directly from each of the participants. But how would you implement that for design challenges and roadtests?
