This could be anything from electronics for a model rocket, to a miniature NASA countdown clock, space-themed home decoration, module replica, and so on.

    You're right, I love how that sounds! As you said:

    • Rocket launches
    • Countdown to success

    Maybe also things like:

    • Back to Earth - maybe a bit of a weird one, but a theme where the goal would be to design a system for landing something back to the ground, whether that's a payload dropped from a drone, or a hand-thrown contraption that needs to detect when to open a parachute
    • A galaxy far far away - a competition based around taking pictures of the night sky, whether that's adding electronics to a telescope or using a Raspberry Pi for long exposure photography of the night sky, I found this great video and library for just that:

  • I'd like to see theme suggestions like this broken out into specifics and multiple ideas.

    Like an idea being 'rocket launches' and different rocket designs, or as you say 'countdown to success' and design of various countdown clocks or timers. Etc. That way we get multiple themes out of it.
