Great blog! I've been super-impressed with coil64, in the past up until a few months ago I'd use spreadsheets with formulas for coils, but coil64 has given very good results with each scenario I've tried with it.

For RF work there are expensive RF resistors, but another option (the cheaper/simpler option I go with) is as you say to just use normal thick film resistors - e.g. to buy a few hundred 49.9 ohm and 100 ohm standard thick film resistors, and then just measure them if the ultimate accuracy is needed (usually not).

Yes. No edit button. But e14 says it’s there. A mystery.

Oh. And yes. Good info. It didn’t occur to me to use a nano VNA to measure Henries.

I do the same thing, use VNA for such measurements if I can! it works brilliantly compared to LCR meter, if the measurement can be within (say) a few orders of magnitude of 50 ohms, whereas LCR meter works great elsewhere too, albeit at the limited point frequencies that supports. There are techniques to extend VNA measurement accuracy range, but they are not trivial, and some may require the VNA to support it too.
