The STEVAL-SMARTAG1 is a small evaluation board, measuring just 40mm x 40mm. It is equipped with NFC as well as sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure and a three-axis accelerometer. Moreover, there is an already made app that allow you to read data from this tag, so when I decided to "transform" this evaluation board into a small gadget for the house, the only thing left to do was to create an enclosure. This seemed like an easy step, but I left it aside for quite some time.
A few days ago I finally opened up Fusion360 and after a couple refinements I managed to create something that I was happy with. It's a simple stand, with a slot for inserting the SMARTAG1 and holes at the front for allowing air to reach the sensors freely. I also added a simple drawing in an attempt to make it more pretty.
Unfortunately, the print quality is not the best, probably due to the wet filament (it was clearly popping during printing). However, the inconsistent extrusion is not really that visible in real life (it appears more evident in the photo).
And here it is in its final location, near a blossom lego plum, monitoring temperature and humidity so it can grow happily
