Project14 | Would You Rather See Electronic Art or Hack Hardware in May?

In March, we launched the Fighting Germs  competition.   Normally, it takes at least a month to launch a competition.    That is why these polls are staggered two months in advance.   We launched it in 1 day.

April was suppose to be Hardware Hacking (Project14 | Poll to Decide the April 20' Competition )  and the May contest was suppose to be decided using this poll:  Project14 | Poll to Decide the May 20' Competition .

At the time of the poll Fighting Germs  was in the lead and the thought was that it would probably be the April theme so we planned on having Hacking Hardware as the theme for May.    Strangely,  Electronic Art, something I would love to see be a Project14 theme has overtaken Fighting Germs (current competition).

This makes sense,  there's really no need to vote for Fighting Germs as its already an active contest.   I don't know that we'll ever launch a competition in a day like we did with Fighting Germs  but I would be interested in which of the following you would be interested in seeing for May!

Someday,  life will return to normal, and so too will this program (maybe?), but until then no promises on what you'll see in May!

I like both themes. I have already started on something 'artistic' so that theme would be great, and I have also started on a 'hack' as well (it's not going well but that's not really relevant is it!)…

I like both themes. I have already started on something 'artistic' so that theme would be great, and I have also started on a 'hack' as well (it's not going well but that's not really relevant is it!) would be great as well. I also received part today for another project so that could go into the A. N. Other category, which would still be great1

You have to order well in advance for some components on the internet, which is why I have three almost ready to start. I'll be looking on the internet soon for any other components I might like to use in a couple of months time. Got to keep the pipeline flowing! One day I might lose interest in electronics and robotics so I'm trying hard to get all the things done that I want to do.

    Hi clem57 ,

This is part of the  Fighting Germs theme:

"Finally, your project does not need to involve soap or sanitizing.  Fighting Germs involves protecting those most vulnerable to them. This not only includes the elderly but it also includes people with diabetes, autonomic dysfunction, recently pregnant, those taking blood thinners, those with high-blood pressure, and the list goes on and on....   There is not a member on here that cannot think of someone that falls in that category."

On a personal level,  I hope there is a flood of projects that address the care of those most vulnerable and I know that this is something that is weighing on all of us.

The Fighting Germs theme is active and will be till the middle of June.

Relevance to the new world would be great. My thought would be helping seniors in living assist homes since they seem to be suffering more with the virus. In the past several members have done good things. What do you all think?
