I assume you mean Schmitt trigger.

sorry for the Spelling, Yes I meant Schmitt Trigger,
What I meant was that there are numerous Such Circuits in Analog , Power and Digital Domain which are standards that can be found in electronics. In fact Many of the Hardware equipments implements them in pretty standard way.
An Essentials article with the following,
Their Circuits, Basics and Implementation strategies, i.e. where are they applicable, how to use them, benefits, standard IC to perform the tasks, etc, would be an Awesome Tutorial.

The problem with your suggestion is that whilst it would be useful the "Essentials " format is for a very short article followed by a multiple choice questions. The best source I can think of to answer your purpose is the "Art of Electronics" 3rd edition by Horowitz and Hill. (About 1200 pages and not free).
You could do an essentials on, for example, Schmitt triggers - for starters there is a Wiki article :
