sensors and signal conditioning sounds great
Extremely useful in Gathering knowledge and Information
electric actuators and electric motors and their interfaces.
The Battery. Sounds simple, but choosing the right one for a portable application can get complicated. From protection circuitry, monitoring, charging, current limiting, and safety, there is a lot to consider. Maybe a short series on batteries, the different types, simple protection circuit design to complex micro controller monitoring for high power applications. There is such a wide variety available these days, it seems like a great subject to explore further.
I would like to hear an expert comparison between battery and super capacitor by covering all the fields.
I would like to learn how automotive engine control modules work. They are basically a small computer or micro processor that does a ton of work. I would love to be able to modify some of the information contained in the internal data tables in order to increase the performance of my car. I believe they call this “tuning” or “re-flashing”.
I think a 3-series on Positioning Systems that covers Global Positioning System (GPS), Local Positioning System (LPS) / Indoor Positioning System (IPS) will have ample material with the many technologies that can be used like Satellite, WiFi, Bluetooth, Radio waves, lidar, quadrature encoders, gyroscopes, accelerometers, etc.
