What is Your Interest in AI and Machine Learning?

I am preparing my schedule for topics in 2019 for ESSENTIALS, as well as other programs such as RoadTests and/or Webinars. I have discussed with others about offering a several part series on artificial intelligence or machine learning. I think it's topic that everyone should have knowledge in. My intent was that the first module might be more general knowledge, but the subsequent ones would be much more in depth -- perhaps more like a tutorial.

I am not seeing a lot of content on this topic on the community. Never much in the way of discussions. Hence, this poll. If you have the time, please respond. Thanks.

AI has been around for more than 40 years, going through many phases of hopes and disillusions. It is rather a vast area, but the new boost of successful research and interest in the academic and industrial…

The subject on AI is very interesting to me. I feel this will soon be integrated into different fields like medicine. I have read up on AI and would like to know more about what is up and coming. The ability…

Something I've never read too much into but would really like to learn some more. The bit I really need to understand is how AI software differs from, what many of us are familiar with, the procedural…

    Hi rscasny

The new Nvidia Jetson Nano looks like a winner for implementing AI in the maker community as it is on pre-order at $99: external link to the Nvidia website is https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/autonomous-machines/embedded-systems/jetson-nano/

I am currently researching and learning Machine Learning with AWS SageMaker and RobotMaker. Specifically the form of ML called Reinforcement Learning models. Goal is to train a RC model car to self-drive on a track.

This is definitely an area I would be interested in learning more about.  I am really interested in how AI and Machine Learning can be used in industry for Condition Based Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance as it is something I could use.

I created a post yesterday too see what experience and thoughts members have on this area - Experience with IIoT Condition Based Monitoring  and Predictive Maintenance Tools?

There have not been any comments yet........ I am hoping there will be some people on here that do have some experience or even just thoughts on this area and will comment - but perhaps it is an area where there is a lot of interest but not many members have had much or any first hand experience.

I will be really interested to see what RoadTesters will do with the Brainium /SMARTEDGE AGILE device currently available to RoadTest -    It looks like a great device to test AI and machine learning with.

I am very tempted to apply myself but need to think of a good application to test it with!

With significant advance in MCU processing power (expect GHz MCUs in 2019!) I think there's huge potential for intelligent "edge" devices running machine learning inference algorithms.  The top three fields I see talked about are vision, speech and sensor signal processing.  I'm mostly interested in speech and acoustics. image

I'm quite interested in the application of MLP based neural networks for predicting environmental parameters such as river flows.  I would be interested in learning more about how edge computing on small SBCs could be utilised in this kind of scenario.

You should definitely make something like this though articles, videos etc. I find ML/DL and AI fascinating topics and I'm already learning and trying things. gecoz already outlined some good resources. If I can make a suggestion it would be to find out what's missing from all the other information out there and present it in your tutorials. Can't wait to have a look!

I am doing AI at an application level all over, however more often than not still PC based, albeit making a decent attempt myself doing it on inserted stage. So far the main implanted stage that I have done is on NVIDIA Jetson TX2 with a yolo net question reconigtion, yet right now is endeavoring to do it on FPGA.

Applying Machine Learning on Winter Training in Lucknow will bring more capabilities for IoT and enable Edge Computing.
