It looks like the CodeBug will soon be sporting an assortment of glowing accessories, ColourTails are coming soon.
By the look of it we have a 5V multicolour LED with a single wire communication bus, possibly WS2811 or WS2812 based?

Great to hear that they're finding ways of keeping the platform fresh 
Looks like they have a whole ecosystem now - but the name here is ColourStar instead of ColourTail
(I saw this in their online shop) - but I'm finding it hard to get motivated with this, I did give quite a few codebugs
to some young kids, and didn't hear anything back - perhaps such a product needs mentoring alongside, from parents or
teachers.
