I remember Fishertechnik from when i was a kid. I was into that rather than Lego. I never had anything motorized though.

I had the standard motor kit but not the mini motors.

I remember saving up pocket money for ages to get the transformer/speed controller as at the time the motor 'ate' zinc carbon batteries.
