My response to these questions is the same for both: Loving the wealth of information that is out there on the Raspberry Pi platform and finding it almost overwhelming at the same time.
I am so thankful for element14 to have a project on which to focus my efforts (and the best equipment with which to work!). The videos on the element14 site and the various channels element14 maintains on YouTube are excellent resources full of more information than I can manage to execute on right now.
This is a new experience for me and I am glad to have this community with whom to share it (Soon!).
Thank you to everyone who has been posting in the meanwhile. I am learning a lot of fascinating stuff.
Honestly, the most difficult part in my project is the part where I realized that there were some short-comings in the implementation of the idea and had to purchase some components and add extra functionality to make my 3D mapping system compete with likes of kinect.
I like the feeling that my project and the knowledge I share, is going to inspire many budding techno-maniacs the same way I was inspired by the active participants of the community and other competitors of this challenge.
