Shedule & Homework Robot - Unboxing (part #5)

Good day comrades!

The previous article about Darth Vader did not received much support from the community, well, there's nothing wrong, especially now that we are back to the usual format of my blog, because I have finally got the long-awaited package! Please note only one thing: I deliberately did not read other unboxing, so as not to spoil the surprise. Let's get started.

The robotic platform Parallax Robotics Shield Kit itself, unassembled (excluding the main board and small parts) looks as follows:

I do not know why, but most of all in this set, I liked a branded screwdriver Parallax image A surprise for me was that I found in the package, not only Arduino Due, but also Arduino Uno:

Now I have a whole collection of Arduino boards and my only dream is Arduino Zero, I hope someday on Element14 will be held a RoadTest dedicated to it image Another nice bonus appeared to be a set of cables (USB-A -> micro-USB and USB-A - > USB-B), and the latter was in addition gold plated!

The package also included a Sharp's rangefinder. In the photo, it seemed to me much less, but for me it's large size is even an advantage. The only negative – the lack of bundled cable to connect the rangefinder with Arduino, but nothing – we'll solve the problem.

And last but not least component – temperature sensor TMP36, I ambitious plans for it, but more about that some other time.

image

That's all for today – the next week I'll try to gather all the components of the robot in a single unit, then we will deal with it's software. See you soon!

P.S. Don't forget to participate in my voting! Your vote could be decisive!
