Arch Linux seems to do me well once setup...
Raspbian isn't yesterday it's awesome.
Do you have any benchmarks for Archlinux versus say.... Debian? It'd be interesting to see if you could get stats for a few different ones.

I am using Arch Linux after many experiments with all of the other distros currently available for the pi.
For me, Arch Linux is the fastest. Have fun with what ever distro you choose to use.
