Dexim Music Talking Stylus (via Dexim)

How many times do you find yourself biting your pen from boredom at work? Not too much I’d hope. Maybe you’re an aspiring artist who’s tired of spinning that old capacitive stylus around your fingers for enjoyment, while thinking up your next great masterpiece. Well, why take your boredom out on your pen when it can be capable of so much more. CES 2013 had what you need .

Introducing Dexim’s new Music Talking Stylus. This new Gadget adds some pizzazz to the ordinary capacitive pen / stylus with some well-constructed, compact features all bundled up to fit nicely in your hand. This unique stylus has a built in Bluetooth capabilities to allow users to listen to music or take calls on the fly. The bottom of the pen contains a micro USB port for recharging the device for up to 5 hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby battery life. Want to listen to music while sketching something up on Photoshop? No problem – Dexim’s new stylus has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top-end to give users the option to plug in their own headphones and rock out. Of course, the capacitative pen has a built in vibration function to remind you to get back to work in case you get held up talking to your pen on a call. The build-in vibration notification makes no sense to me. What if you are drawing and that happens? The line would look like a Peanuts cartoon mouth.

So, next time you find yourself wanting to chew your pen out of boredom, or don’t know what to do with yourself when hitting drawer’s block – think about picking up this new gadget. No need to get bored when you can simply make a call, or throw on some music and practice your pen spinning and air drumming to your heart's content. The Music Talking Stylus will hit store shelves in Q2 2013 for $80. To be honest, I question the need for this level of functionality. I use a stylus from time to time. I look forward to putting it down, taking a break, and take a call or anything. The old adage fits here, find a niche market and dominate it.
