Like something worn by a future dystopian police force, comes the Armstar BodyGuard 9XI. The apparatus is a hands-free electronic deterrent device. In other words, a taser. Inventor and founder of Armstar, Dave Brown, was inspired to create this device to protect himself while out in the wilderness. In Brown's home town several people were either killed or mauled by a mountain lion. Two years later, the product was finished. It was soon endorsed by the Los Angeles law enforcement. It later caught the attention and accolades from TV show COPS' sheriff John Bunnell. Recently, it was used in the "Mock Prison Riot" law enforcement competitions.
It is capable of delivering over 300,000 Vpp @ 1mA. A Lithium battery pack powers the stun portion and the control system, and is recharged via a standard 120VAC adapter. Other onboard devices, such as the flashlight and 720p HD wireless camera run off of their own power source. It is made of hard plastic, Normex, Kevlar, and cotton. Comes in small, medium, and large.
