"Play," via Native Union @ CES 2012
Some of the new technology displayed at this year’s CES is in the form of almost-useless gadgets. Admit it; we all love them no matter what they do. Native Union has one of these in the form of a magnetic message player (to anything ferrous) that you can place almost anywhere, dubbed “Play.”.
From the mind of Fabien Nauroy, this gadget lets you record a 3 minute video message that other people can view on the device’s 2.4 in screen. Play lets you record multiple messages and even has the time and date stamped on them, which comes in handy as to when I was told to stay out of the fridge! Play is simple to use, only three buttons; record, play and delete. It can be purchased now for $60.00 US from Native Union’s website at: http://www.nativeunion.com/us/play.html A bit pricey for a silly gadget.
I am showcasing Play to show how one person came up with an idea, built it, now a whole company is pushing it. Throughout CES, there are pockets of similar DIY people within the mega corporations. Finding them is the hard part.
