    Not sure this is worded correctly ? "In astable mode, the 555 timer acts as an oscillator, generating a square wave. The frequency is adjusted by changing the values of two resistors and a capacitor…

    I wasn't aware that three 5K resistors forming a voltage reference ladder on the inside was how the chip got its name. I just finished some work for the local library and they agreed to purchase the book in lew of payment. I'm thinking there may be some circuit ideas to replace what I do with Arduino Nano's at the moment. Looking forward to my new bathroom reader.
