Four new products leveraging PerkinElmer's infrared sensing and photon detection technologies have been announced by the company.
Designed for a range of applications including energy conservation, enhanced home security and clinical diagnostics, they will be showcased at the 16th annual Sensor + Test Fair this week in Nurnberg, Germany.
The products include a new thermopile line array detector utilising PerkinElmer's IR sensing technology, which provides energy savings of up to 30 per cent and a new smart dual-element pyrodetector offering enhanced signal processing functionalities.
Michael Ersoni, vice-president and general manager of PerkinElmer, says the exhibition at Sensor + Test will demonstrate the company's focus on healthier, cleaner and safer technology.
"We believe that PerkinElmer's recent detector innovations are giving OEMs the design advantages they require for aggressively competing in today's fast-moving markets," he added.
PerkinElmer recently announced the results of a new study which found the company's sensors had helped to prevent 372,000 fires in the last five years.
