A leading manufacturer of laser and light systems in the aesthetic medical market has unveiled a new temperature monitoring device designed to improve safety.
Sciton has released TempAssure to complement its ProLipo PLUS system, which produces 40 watts of power from its diode laser, making it the most powerful and versatile laser-assisted lipolysis system on the market.
TempAssure accurately reads the temperature of the laser energy accurately to within one degree, giving physicians the confidence to proceed with operations knowing that patient safety is being protected.
Marc Salzman, managing director at the University Division of Plastic Surgery, said TempAssure is "state-of-the-art" when it comes to temperature monitoring.
"It facilitates direct measurement of internal temperatures in all phases of the laser application which gives an increase in both safety and efficacy," he added.
The release follows news that the ultrafast laser developer Raydiance has announced the introduction of Smart Light, a software-controlled laser for manufacturing medical micro-devices.
