New electrolytic capacitor products developed under a new joint collaboration are expected to be introduced to the market very soon.
The world's fifth-largest aluminium electrolytic capacitor manufacturer Man Yue International has signed a second five-year agreement with the Research Institute of Tsinghua University.
A new Man Yue research and development centre was set up under the first agreement in 2004, where technologies to enhance the capabilities of electrolyte and aluminium electrolytic capacitors were developed.
Kee Chor Lin, chairman of Man Yue, said that the company was "very pleased" to extend its cooperative partnership.
She said: "The two parties will continue to work together in developing and launching new capacitors with more excellent functions and energy saving features to support the fast growing consumer electronics sector."
One of the most recent projects to be released from the institution is the conductive polymer aluminium solid capacitor technology that has gained academic and sector recognition.
Man Yue announced the electronic industry's first conductive polymer aluminium solid capacitors in April.
