General Electric (GE) has expanded the colour options in its LED Cove Lighting System range of products.
Aimed at commercial markets such as casinos, hotels, resorts and retail outlets, the GE LED Cove Lighting System delivers 320 lumens per foot while consuming just 6.5 watts of energy, a 78 per cent reduction compared with halogen systems.
The 4100K system also now offers a ten per cent higher colour-rendering index of 77.
Gus Lanese, manager of growth initiatives at GE Consumer & Industrial, said more and more businesses are taking advantage of the opportunity to save money by switching to LED products.
"Paybacks based on the cost of the product and comparative energy and maintenance costs will invariably show that the GE LED Cove lighting system is preferable to halogen systems," he added.
The firm recently released two new lamps designed to enable its commercial customers to make the switch to energy-saving LED technology.
