High-performance torch developer Streamlight has introduced a new polymer pen light equipped with a high-intensity LED in four colours.
The Polystylus offers up to 24 hours to the ten per cent lumen output on the red beam and 48 per cent continuous hours for the white, blue and green beams, while boasting a 100,000-hour lifetime.
Ray Sharrah, chief operating officer of Streamlight, said the product's multi-colour functionality makes it suitable for a variety of applications, including automotive repair and industrial safety.
He commented: "The red or green LEDs, for example, can help preserve night vision for police when on night patrol.
"The green LED, which doesn't spook game, also provides an all-purpose light for sporting enthusiasts."
Streamlight recently announced the release of the TLR-3, which is intended for use in the law enforcement and military sectors and features the use of power C4 LED technology, which offers two to three times the output of super high flux LEDs.
