Philips Lumileds has expanded its Luxeon Rebel family of LEDs with nine new emitters.
The new LEDs are designed specifically for illumination solutions, including recessed lighting, street lamps and retrofit bulbs, as well as being optimised for specific colour temperature and colour rendering combinations.
Each of the new products delivers light output and lumen maintenance that enables Energy Star and other such lighting efficiency and performance programs.
Steve Barlow, executive vice-president of sales and marketing for Philips Lumileds, said the firm plans to continue developing products for the illumination market.
"We are excited to be able to directly respond to the needs of our customers for Luxeon Rebel in certain combinations of colour, CRI and light output that enables them to expand their business in the solid state lighting market," he commented.
The firm recently announced the release of its breakthrough Luxeon Rebel phosphor converted amber LEDs, which offer up to five times more light output to typical amber LEDs.
