A new report on the state of North America's energy-efficient lamps market has been made available by Frost & Sullivan.
In the report, expert analysts examine the markets for compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
Energy-efficient lamps have emerged as a vital component of the North American lighting industry over the last five years, according to the research, with the use of CFLs allowing substantial reductions in energy costs.
The author of the research states that the "creation of at least a million green jobs, which would require the deployment of the cheapest, cleanest and fastest energy source to develop energy efficiency" is a prime priority of the Obama-Biden administration.
Additionally, the report provides investment highlights, themes and the traditional Frost & Sullivan growth monitor.
It follows the release of a separate report by China Research and Intelligence which features market projections for the Chinese and global LED markets until 2012.
