Vishay Intertechnology claims that its new SMD power LEDs are the most robust and light-efficient products on the market.
The new Little Star LEDs were unveiled on June 12th and feature an SMD power package with an ultra-low profile of just 1.5mm.
It is also designed to offer extremely bright luminous intensity of 25,000 mcd typical, as well as featuring an optical efficiency of 60 lumens/W and a luminous flux of 80 lm to 85 lm.
The new LED has also been optimised for general lighting, consumer and general applications, such as street lighting, architectural lighting and indoor and outdoor lamps.
The LEDs also offer a low thermal resistance of 10 K/W.
Vishay Intertechnology recently launched its new Alternative Energy Virtual Trade Show on its website, intended to highlight Vishay components for solar power and hybrid technology.
Vishay is currently working with a number of alternative energy sector companies, including an electric vehicle automobile firm.
