ON Semiconductor has unveiled two-terminal linear constant current regulators to deliver cost-effective regulation for LED applications, including automotive, industrial signage and architectural lighting.
Based on self-biased transistor technology, the NSI45 series products are offered in 20mA, 25mA and 30mA device options, available in SOD-123 and SOT-223 packages.
Additionally, the devices are lead-free and use a halogen-free mould compound, making them RoHS-compliant and qualified to the automotive standard of AEC101.
Dan Huettl, director and general manager for ON Semiconductor's small signal division, said the company continues to deliver an array of LED driving solutions.
"The new constant current regulator solution does not require any external components, reduces inventory cost and offers our customers an extremely simple, economical and yet robust device to easily incorporate in their lighting designs," he added.
Leadis Technologies recently announced the launch of sample availability of the LDS8161 and LDS8141, two new LED drivers featuring the patent pending LED-Sense temperature compensation engine.
