A leading manufacturer of advanced optical film has announced that it has begun volume shipments of its products to China-based Liangshuo Optoelectronics.
Liangshuo Optoelectronics has leveraged Bright View's ACEL light management film product line as part of the development of the LSD series, a high-efficiency LED downlight.
The optical film is used as a diffuser in LED luminaries and is hoped to enable total system efficiency of more than 90 per cent as well as eliminating glare and mixing the light to create an attractive glow.
Dr Yao, chief executive officer of Liangshuo Optoelectronics, commented: "We evaluated a wide range of traditional and advanced optical films for our LSD series and found that ACEL delivered the uniform appearance of a traditional downlight at efficiency levels that could not be matched by other products."
US-based Bright View Technologies leverages patented and proprietary technologies that enable the production of optical film products for plasma, LCD, rear projection, front projection and OLED applications.
