Optoelectronics technology firm Lightwave Logic has announced that it has retained engineering and research company Perdix to identify and build prototype products.
Perdix will work in products targeted at high growth potential markets in fibre optic telecommunications systems, as well as exploring electro-optic modulator specifications to improve cost efficiency in existing and planned systems.
Dr David F Eaton, chief technology officer of Lightwave, said the firm was particularly pleased to be associated with Perdix's director of research Dr Kenn Arnett, who has wide experience in the optoelectronics sector.
"With the expected delivery of our first phase modulator in the coming weeks, Lightwave Logic will focus on and target areas of potential adoption of our technology for specific solutions within fibre optic telecommunications systems," he commented.
Lightwave Logic is the producer of molecularly engineered nano-materials for application in fibre optic telecoms and high-speed computation.
