Precision laser measurement firm Ophir-Spiricon has unveiled Beam Cube, an industrial laser beam analyser designed for application in high-precision welding and cutting.
The product measures beam profile, temporal pulse shape, focal spot provision and power up to 150W, incorporating a focal spot analyser, power meter and fast photodiode detector.
It is suitable for low and medium-power pulsed industrial and diode lasers and, being an integrated unit, eliminates the need to add other components.
Ephraim Greenfield, vice-president of engineering at Ophir-Spiricon's laser measurement group, said Beam Cube goes a step further than standard devices by integrating beam profiling with power measurement and temporal profiling.
"This allows users to closely monitor the process, then, as needed, to make corrections in order to obtain reproducible cutting and welding results," he commented.
Recently the firm introduced the 3A-P-FS Very Low Power/Energy Sensor, designed to measure very low power and energy light sources such as LEDs and diode lasers.
