Canada-based test and measurement instruments provider GAO Instruments has launched a new durable, compact fibre optic laser light source for lab and field applications.
Performing fast and accurate measurement on long-distance and local optical networks, the A0630010 laser light source offers high stability for accurate fibre optic testing.
It also provides a stable power output at a wavelength of 1310nm or 1550nm through a single output connector, as well as having the ability to operate in continuous wave mode or 2kHz modulated mode for up to 12 hours.
The A0630010 can measure the loss in an optical fibre up to 200km in length with high accuracy, as well as providing a low battery indication when the power source needs to be replaced.
GAO Instruments, which was founded in 1992 and has sales, customer support, manufacturing and research and development facilities in Canada, Europe, the US and China.
