Argon ST has announced that it has been awarded a $49.7 million (£30.3 million) contract to provide research, development and analysis services for the US Navy.
The work will involve providing system architecture in support of optoelectronic, radio frequency, acoustic sensors and special sensor systems.
Scheduled to be completed over the next three years, the firm will begin with an estimated funding package of $5.4 million (£3.3 million).
"The ISR market is a strategically important part of our business," commented Kerry Rowe, president and chief operating officer of Argon ST.
"This contract enables development of important technologies and systems in support of warfighters as well as protection of US forces, facilities and borders."
Recently the firm was awarded $8.3 million (£5 million) to provide technology enabler development to the US Army's Communications-Electronics Command Acquisition Centre in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, in a contract expected to last for three years.
