It has been claimed that there is a "mission-critical urgency" in today's world of complex, large-scale semiconductor designs.
According to Cadence, mixed-signal design is growing in significance and as such, it is hosting a summit which it hopes will answer some questions for those in the industry.
The event, entitled the Mixed-Signal IC Design Summit, is due to take place in California on October 27th 2009.
Running from 8:45am until 6pm, it will feature a keynote from Paul Emerson of Texas Instruments and guests will be able to watch live technical product demonstrations.
They will also have the chance to ask questions in a relaxed and informal setting.
Earlier this month, German-based firm ERNI Electronics announced that is it expanding its range of cable connectors in order to meet the high demand from customers.
In order to do this, it is increasingly turning to automated processes so that it can offer more economical prices when supplying cable assemblies.
