The introduction of Osram LEDs to RS Components' product range means that the firm will be able to provide design engineers with the highest-quality optoelectronics products.
This is according to Glenn Jarrett, head of marketing for electronics at RS, who said that the new items will also enable the business to offer competitive prices and readily available stock.
His comments follow the announcement that more than 400 new visible and infrared LEDs from Osram subsidiary Osram Opto Semiconductors will be added to the books of RS Components.
As a business which has been producing lighting solutions for more than 100 years, Osram "is a valued partner and a brand respected by electronics customers for its innovative LED technology", stated Mr Jarett.
"We believe our customers will find the scope of this expanded offer particularly compelling," he added.
Director of distribution at Osram Stephan Kreusel went on to assert that the firm is delighted to be furthering its partnership with RS.
