Philips Lighting Electronics has introduced new LED modules to its range of refrigerated display lights.
The line will now include Value-plus and Vision-plus LCM310 LED Cooler Modules for multi-deck display cases.
Affinium LCM310 modules aim to replace standard tubular fluorescent lamps under the shelf and in the canopy of multi-deck display cases.
They are also suited to open, multi-tiered displays of meat, dairy and deli foods and are just half an inch high.
Using the modules can reduce the lighting load of display cases by up to 80 per cent more than fluorescent technology, the firm claims.
Grocers can benefit from the new products in their multi-desk applications as they may make food items more visually appealing and conserve both money and energy.
This news comes after RS Components recently announced the addition of more than 400 Osram LEDs to its optoelectronics product range for design engineers in a bid to offer more competitive prices and available stock.
