A new connector launched by Bulgin Components uses Bluetooth technology to facilitate communication between equipment with RS485 or RS232 data ports.
The product can be used in various harsh applications due to its environmental sealed enclosure which safeguards it against dust and dampness.
It provides a rapid and economical way of replacing cables or extending data networks as Master and Slave units automatically establish a data link between themselves.
The connector can be put to use straight from the box without the need for adjustment and it will self-connect.
Its factory default settings are 9600, N, 8, 1 without flow control and it may be used in cases where cables are complicated, impractical or expensive to install, for example between walls or floors, between buildings and around obstructions.
In related news, Schurter recently introduced a new search tool to help customers looking for connectors to find and purchase them more easily on its website.
