A new line of cable connectors from Binder-USA is suitable for a range of Fieldbus and Ethernet network applications, according to the firm
The seven to eight-inch cable connectors are available with male and female variants of five gold-plated contacts, with straight and right-angle options.
A new addition to Series 820 field-attachable connectors from the subsidiary of German-based designer and manufacturer Franz Binder, the connectors have 2.5 mm terminal cross-section capacity.
Screw-type terminals facilitate the connection of wires to the contacts, which when properly mated are IP67-rated, thus protecting the connection from liquids and debris.
Mating front-mounted receptacles with pre-attached wires complete the system.
In related news, Radiall USA recently announced the launch of its tool-less QM connector, which features long-lasting mechanical durability for use in harsh aerospace applications.
It was originally designed to support the Boeing 787's wire integration needs but also offers mating flexibility for other commercial aircraft wiring requirements.
