One company has launched a new search mechanism on its website to enable customers to find and purchase connectors more easily.
The tool, entitled Parametric Search for Mating IEC 60320 Connectors, is available on the Schurter website.
Schurter claims that by using the feature, consumers will come across a manageable selection of products - from more than 2,000 possible connector combination/mating options - in a very short period of time.
All products are based on IEC connector parameters, with appliance couplers and power supply and interconnection cords all manufactured according to IEC 60320 and divided into functional categories including connectors, distribution units, power entry modules with and without filters, cord connectors and cord sets.
In related news, ERNI Electronics recently announced that it has extended its range of cable connectors in a bid to meet customer demand.
The German company's new automated cable assembly system now enables it to test up to 5,000 cable connectors per shift.
