One of the most iconic buildings in London – the BT Tower – has become host to one of the biggest LED displays in Europe and Asia, it has been revealed.
According to TechRadar UK, the landmark now features a 360 degree light spectacular which is lit by 529,750 LEDs spread out over 177 panels.
These have a circumference of 59 metres and measure over 280 square metres.
The display has been created to celebrate the run up to the 2012 Olympics, which will be held in the British capital, the news provider continues.
Chairman of BT Sir Michael Rake said: "We're extremely proud that the Tower will be playing such an essential role in informing and engaging people across the capital."
The building is located in the West End of London and is also home to a restaurant, where diners can enjoy their food with a spectacular view of the city.
