The passive components industry in China is quickly becoming one of the largest production hubs in the world, it has been revealed.
Research and Markets has just announced the addition of a document entitled China Sourcing Report: Passive Components 2009 to its offering.
It explains that increasing customer demand for products is boosting output and the market for resistors is the fastest growing segment in terms of yield.
Furthermore, it is expected to increase by at least 20 per cent this year, meaning it will reach 850 billion units.
The report also explains that manufacturers working in all sectors have a positive outlook for global overseas business, despite the economic downturn and a decline in export sales.
At the end of last month, TG Daily reported that because of the increase in demand for LED backlit applications for notebooks and televisions, there could be a shortage of the devices.
