Farnell has announced the availability of a new LED device.
Manufactured by Avago, the Super 0.5W cool white power PLCC-4 SMT LED utilises InGaN chip technology which allows the package to be driven at high current.
According to Electropages, the company claims that this creates an improved flux performance with which a higher light output can be achieved.
The devices have been specially designed for use in a wide range of environments, including difficult conditions such as automotive applications and electronic signs and signals.
"To facilitate easy pick and place assembly, the LEDs are packed in EIA-compliant tape and reel. Every reel is shipped in single intensity and colour bin, to provide close uniformity," the news provider notes.
In related news, Electropages reported yesterday that Farnell now has a range of true 75ohm BNC HDTV connectors from Radiall available for same-day dispatch.
These products feature gold plated centres and outer contacts.
